Last updated: May 15, 2026

Overview

Welcome to “Decision-Making Toolkit: 4 Decision-Making Styles,” a video lesson meant to understand your own decision-making preferences, as well as those of others you work with. This lesson is part of the Decision-Making Toolkit intended to help you make strong choices you can be confident in. Throughout this lesson, you’ll learn about the four main styles of decision-making: directive, analytical, conceptual, and behavioral. In particular, you’ll discover the characteristics of each style and consider when you should and shouldn’t use them. Ultimately, you should understand that there’s no one best way for you to make decisions. You should be flexible and adapt your approach as necessary to make the best choices possible.
