Welcome to the “Understanding Operating Systems” lessonintended to help learners understand how a computer’s operating system works.This lesson is the second of four in the “Basic Computer Skills” course, whichhelps employees improve their understanding of how to use a computer andprovides the groundwork for greater independence when using a computer. In thislesson, viewers will learn how to open programs, manage files, and shut down orrestart their computer. After viewing, learners will be able to open programsfrom the desktop or menu, save files, organize files into folders, perform thecopy and paste functions, and shut down or restart their computer.
